Honoring the Legacy of Abigail Ann Cozad

This campaign is held in heartfelt support of the Cozad family and in honor of Abigail Ann Cozad, whose life and legacy inspire our mission and remind us of the profound importance of community, safety, and belonging.

Abby was a bright, creative, and compassionate young woman whose warmth touched everyone she met. After sustaining a traumatic brain injury as a teenager, Abby faced life with determination and grace. Her tenacity shone through in her desire to prove she could be self-sufficient. Abby graduated from high school, participated in the swim team, and was honored to be crowned prom queen. Yet, her trusting nature made her vulnerable, and those she counted on took advantage of her in the worst way. Abby’s life was tragically cut short, but her story stands as a powerful testament to the urgent need for safe, supportive communities like Adeo

Naming Opportunities and Campaign Milestones

Your support will not only honor Abby’s memory but also uplift every resident who will call 2730 home. As we join together, we offer the following opportunities to celebrate Abby’s legacy and foster hope for all:

$20,000 – Abby’s Corner: This special space, our computer area, will be named for Abby, celebrating her passion for graphic design and her dreams of creative expression. Your gift will empower residents with access to technology, nurturing talents and aspirations as Abby once dreamed.

$125,000 – Abby’s Room (Unit 21): This memorial room is especially poignant; it is the space Abby would have called her own if she had chosen to live at Adeo. Naming it “Abby’s Room” ensures her memory becomes a source of comfort and inspiration to others.

$250,000 (by December 31, 2026) – Abby’s Place: If we reach this goal by the deadline, the entire 2730 building will be renamed “Abby’s Place,” securing Abby’s legacy as a beacon of joy and protection for generations to come.
